First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a short gratitude writing exercise can improve optimism and gratitude and reduce psychological distress in female university students. About 96 students with mild to moderate distress will be split into three groups: one writes about things they are grateful for, another writes about their deepest feelings, and a control group writes about daily tasks. The goal is to see if simple writing can boost well-being.
