Could a daily dose of grapes help tame Crohn's disease?
NCT ID NCT05972694
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether eating grape powder every day could change the mix of gut bacteria in people with Crohn's disease. For 21 days, 21 adults with Crohn's in remission consumed the powder, which is equal to about 1.5 cups of fresh grapes. Researchers measured changes in gut bacteria and markers of inflammation to see if grapes might be a helpful dietary addition.
