Summary
This study tests two common gout treatment strategies in 650 adults: one that aims to lower urate levels to a target, and another that treats symptoms as they occur. The goal is to see which approach better reduces gout flares and improves overall health over two years. Participants must have had at least one gout flare in the past year.
