Pharmacists take charge in new gout treatment study

NCT ID NCT06887452

Summary

This study tests whether having pharmacists manage gout medication through telehealth works better than standard doctor-led care. It will involve 310 veterans with gout across five VA medical centers over two years. The main goals are to see if the pharmacist-led approach reduces painful gout flares and keeps uric acid levels under control.
