First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new device called the GORE Glaucoma Drainage Implant in 30 adults with open-angle glaucoma that is not controlled by eye drops or where standard surgery might fail due to scarring. The implant is placed in the eye to help drain fluid and lower eye pressure. The main goal is to see if it safely reduces eye pressure by at least 20% at 6 months while using the same or fewer medications.
