Could cutting gluten ease the pain of ulcerative colitis?
NCT ID NCT06249763
Summary
This study tested whether eating a gluten-free diet could reduce gut symptoms and fatigue in people with ulcerative colitis. Fifteen participants tried one week of a high-gluten diet and one week of a gluten-free diet in a random order. Researchers measured their symptoms and collected blood and stool samples to see who might benefit from avoiding gluten.
