Can a simple supplement shield kids from Chemo's painful side effects?
NCT ID NCT07287592
Summary
This study is testing if a supplement called glutamine can prevent nerve damage (neuropathy) caused by the chemotherapy drug vincristine in children and teens with cancer. About 70 participants, aged 6 to 18, will take glutamine powder twice daily for two weeks during their chemo cycles to see if it reduces nerve pain and helps them complete their full chemotherapy doses. The main goal is to see if fewer kids develop neuropathy and if it's safe for their liver and kidneys.
