Could a simple supplement ease Veterans' War-Related stomach pain?

Summary
This study is testing whether an over-the-counter supplement called glutamine can help reduce chronic stomach pain, diarrhea, and bloating in veterans with Gulf War Illness. Researchers will give glutamine or a placebo to 80 veterans to see if it improves their symptoms and helps heal their gut lining. The goal is to find a better way to manage these painful and persistent digestive problems for which there are currently no specific treatments.
