First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at why many people with Parkinson's disease crave sugary foods and how those sugars affect their body and symptoms. Researchers will give 50 participants a sugary drink and a placebo drink on different days to measure changes in insulin, blood sugar, and movement. The goal is to understand if sugar intake temporarily improves symptoms by boosting dopamine.
