Can a daily cookie help fight diabetes complications?
NCT ID NCT07151833
Summary
This study is testing whether eating special cookies called GlucoBites, which contain a traditional medicinal plant, can help people with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar and reduce their risk of developing serious foot ulcers. About 126 adults with poorly controlled diabetes will either eat four cookies daily for 12 weeks or continue their standard care. Researchers will check if the cookies improve blood sugar levels, insulin function, and blood vessel health in the feet.
