New approach aims to shorten hospital stays for bone cancer patients

NCT ID NCT03960177

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing whether a drug called glucarpidase can help adults with osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) better tolerate their chemotherapy. The goal is to see if giving glucarpidase after high-dose methotrexate treatment reduces side effects and leads to shorter hospital stays. Researchers will monitor 12 participants to see if they can complete all planned chemotherapy doses with fewer complications.
