Simple blood test could warn diabetics of dangerous sugar lows

NCT ID NCT05616273

Summary

This study aimed to find a better way to predict dangerous low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in people with Type 1 diabetes. Researchers tested 62 participants to see if measuring a hormone called glucagon after they ate a meal could act as a warning sign for future hypoglycemia. The goal was to develop a simple blood test to identify people at highest risk, helping doctors personalize their care.
