Scientists investigate Glucagon's hidden role in blood sugar after bariatric surgery

NCT ID NCT07212868

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at how the hormone glucagon influences blood sugar in people who have had bariatric surgery and those who haven't. Researchers will use an investigational drug called REMD-477 to block glucagon and measure changes in glucose metabolism. The goal is to better understand blood sugar control, not to treat a disease. About 150 non-diabetic adults aged 18 to 65 are needed.
