First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether measuring glucagon (a hormone that raises blood sugar) after a meal or an injection could help predict the risk of dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers studied 62 adults with type 1 diabetes to see if a simple blood test could identify those at highest risk. The goal is to develop a practical test that helps doctors and patients better manage and prevent hypoglycemia.
