Diabetes drug tested for blood clot inflammation
NCT ID NCT06118203
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether semaglutide, a GLP-1 agonist used for diabetes, can reduce inflammation in people with acute pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung). 18 participants took the drug for 4 weeks, and researchers measured changes in blood markers of inflammation. The goal was to gather early data, not to treat the condition directly.
