Could a popular Weight-Loss drug be a new hope for teens with PCOS?

NCT ID NCT07169136

Summary

This study is testing if adding a GLP-1 agonist medication (a type of drug used for weight loss) to standard diet and exercise advice can help regulate reproductive hormones in teenage girls who have both obesity and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Researchers will enroll up to 20 girls aged 12-18 and treat them for 16 weeks to see if the medication improves their hormone patterns, body composition, and insulin sensitivity.
