Summary
This study looked at 33 adults with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, whose tumors grew quickly after surgery. Researchers used a PET scan with a radioactive amino acid called 11C-methionine to see the active tumor better than standard MRI. The goal was to use this extra information to plan more precise radiation therapy and potentially improve outcomes for these patients.
