First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at 44 people with a type of brain tumor called glioma. Researchers used a special brain scan (fMRI) to see if the swollen tissue around the tumor still worked. They then took small tissue samples during surgery to check if the scan results matched what was seen under a microscope. The goal was to better understand this tissue to help guide future surgeries.
