Gene sequencing opens new doors for brain tumor patients
NCT ID NCT05186064
First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether whole genome sequencing (reading all of a tumor's DNA) could help find extra treatment options for people with recurrent glioblastoma, a serious brain cancer. 164 patients who needed a second surgery had their tumor DNA analyzed. The goal was to see if this approach could improve survival and how often it led to targeted treatments.
