New brain cancer fight: boosting radiation with immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT03743662

Summary

This study is testing if adding an immunotherapy drug called nivolumab to a standard re-treatment of radiation and the drug bevacizumab can help people with glioblastoma that has come back. It aims to see if this three-part combination helps patients live longer and keeps the cancer from growing again. The trial is for adults whose initial treatment has stopped working and whose tumor has a specific genetic feature (MGMT methylation).
