Tiny implant could replace daily eye drops for glaucoma

NCT ID NCT07218783

Summary

This study is testing if a tiny, slow-release implant placed in the eye during cataract surgery works as well as daily eye drops to lower eye pressure in people with mild to moderate glaucoma. About 400 people who need cataract surgery and have glaucoma will be randomly assigned to get either the implant or use standard eye drops. The main goal is to see if the implant safely controls eye pressure without needing daily medication.
