New eye scans reveal hidden clues in glaucoma

NCT ID NCT07580014

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study uses advanced, non-invasive eye scans (OCT and OCTA) to look at the retina and choroid—the layers at the back of the eye—in people with different types of glaucoma. Researchers will compare images from 132 participants, including healthy volunteers and those with primary open-angle or angle-closure glaucoma. The goal is to better understand how glaucoma changes these eye structures, which could lead to earlier detection and better treatments.
