New eye scan could spot glaucoma risk early

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a non-contact imaging technique called Brillouin microscopy can measure corneal stiffness in people with glaucoma. Researchers will compare measurements between patients with high-tension glaucoma, normal-tension glaucoma, and healthy controls. They will also track changes after starting standard glaucoma eye drops. The goal is to see if these measurements can serve as biomarkers for glaucoma risk and progression.
