First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at how a person's genes might affect their risk of developing cancer cachexia, a severe muscle wasting condition common in pancreatic cancer. Researchers will collect blood samples from 100 adults with pancreatic cancer to find genetic markers linked to weight loss. The goal is to use this information to create better ways to diagnose and treat cachexia in the future.
