Genetic clues to muscle wasting in pancreatic cancer under investigation

Summary

This study explores why many pancreatic cancer patients develop severe muscle wasting, known as cachexia. Researchers will collect blood samples from 100 patients to look for genetic differences that may be linked to this condition. The goal is to better understand the causes and eventually help develop new ways to diagnose or treat cachexia.
