First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called genicular radiofrequency ablation (GRFA) for people who still have knee pain more than a year after total knee replacement. The treatment uses heat to calm the nerves around the knee. 44 participants will be randomly assigned to get either the real procedure or a sham (fake) procedure to see if it safely reduces pain and improves function.
