Gene hunt: could ANXA2 variants unlock mystery strokes?

NCT ID NCT06880107

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain genetic changes in the ANXA2 gene are more common in people who have had a stroke without a clear cause. Researchers will compare blood samples from 240 adults who have had such a stroke to see if these gene variants increase risk. The goal is to better understand why some strokes happen, not to test a new treatment.
