DNA testing offered to prostate cancer patients to uncover hidden risks
NCT ID NCT03503097
Summary
This study offered genetic testing to men whose prostate cancer had spread to other body parts. Researchers wanted to learn how common inherited cancer risk genes are in these patients and understand their experiences with genetic testing. Participants provided saliva samples for testing and completed surveys about their thoughts and concerns, but the study did not provide treatment or treatment recommendations.
