Study tests automated vs. human genetic counseling to boost cancer screening

NCT ID NCT03985852

Summary

This study compared two ways to offer genetic services to people with a family history of cancer. Researchers wanted to see if an automated, patient-led education tool got more people to complete genetic testing than the standard model with a genetic counselor. They also looked at whether the delivery method affected how well people followed cancer screening recommendations.
