Genetic test aims to end unnecessary prostate biopsies

NCT ID NCT05926102

Summary

This study is testing whether a genetic test can help doctors better decide which men should be screened for prostate cancer. It will enroll 5,000 male Veterans aged 55-69 to see if the test can accurately identify those at high risk for serious cancer while helping low-risk men avoid unnecessary biopsies. The goal is to make screening more precise and reduce harm from over-testing.
