This study investigates whether certain DNA variants make people more likely to develop thyroid cancer after receiving radiation therapy as a child. Researchers will compare the genetic profiles of about 30 people who developed thyroid cancer and 30 who did not, all of whom were treated for a skin hemangioma with radiation decades ago.
