Personalized genetics could transform breast cancer prevention for minority women

NCT ID NCT05755269

Summary

This study aims to see if adding a genetic risk score to standard breast cancer risk assessments helps African American and Hispanic women make more informed decisions about screening and prevention. Researchers will follow 50 women with elevated breast cancer risk for 10 years to see if the genetic information changes their screening plans or medication decisions. The goal is to understand if personalized genetic data improves prevention strategies for underserved communities.
