Gene-Editing shot aims to tame stubborn cholesterol
NCT ID NCT07353398
Summary
This is a very early study to check the safety of a new injection called ART002g1 for people with a genetic form of high cholesterol. The injection uses advanced gene-editing technology designed to lower 'bad' cholesterol by targeting a specific gene in the liver. Researchers will give increasing doses to a small group of 24 participants to see how their bodies react and if the treatment shows any early signs of working.
