Brain-Delivered gene therapy tested to halt devastating Early-Onset dementia

NCT ID NCT06064890

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a one-time gene therapy called AVB-101 for people with a specific genetic form of frontotemporal dementia (FTD-GRN). The therapy is designed to be delivered directly into the brain to restore a missing protein and potentially slow or stop disease progression. Researchers will primarily assess safety and early signs of effectiveness in a small group of participants over five years of follow-up.
