First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a new gene therapy for people with chronic dry mouth after radiation for head and neck cancer. The treatment delivers a gene directly into a saliva gland to help it produce more saliva. The main goal is to check safety in 17 adults, with a secondary look at whether it improves saliva flow.
