Scientists probe genetic links to heart disease in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT01524549

Summary

This study aimed to understand how specific gene variations might affect blood vessel function, which is important for heart health. Researchers examined 178 healthy adults who carried certain gene patterns to see if these variations were linked to differences in how their blood vessels worked. Participants had a single visit where their blood flow was measured and samples were collected to look for biological markers related to inflammation and blood vessel regulation.
