Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific gene related to nicotine receptors influences a person's brain activity and behavior when exposed to alcohol. Researchers will recruit 128 healthy adults, including both smokers and non-smokers, to undergo brain scans and controlled alcohol sessions. The goal is to gather knowledge about genetic risk factors for alcohol use disorder, not to provide treatment.
