Could your Child's genes hold the key to better asthma control?

NCT ID NCT03015610

Summary

This study tested if adjusting the dose of a common reflux medicine (lansoprazole) based on a child's genetic makeup could improve their asthma control. It involved 41 children aged 6-17 who had both asthma and mild reflux symptoms. Over six months, researchers compared asthma symptoms in children who received the gene-tailored dose against those who received a placebo.
