Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a combination of Gecacitinib (a pill) and a corticosteroid as the first treatment for grade II to IV acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD), a serious complication after a stem cell transplant. The study will enroll 25 adults who have recently received a transplant and have not been on steroids for more than 2 days. Participants will take the drugs for at least 28 days, and if they respond well, treatment may continue up to 24 weeks. The main goal is to see how many patients achieve a complete or partial response by day 28.
