Summary
This study tested an investigational drug called GDC-6599 to see if it could reduce the frequency and severity of chronic cough in adults. It involved 49 participants whose cough was linked to conditions like asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and had lasted for over a year. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo for a period, then switched, to compare the effects.
