New hope for cardiac arrest survivors: drug trial aims to stop hidden damage
NCT ID NCT07468292
Summary
This study is testing a new drug called GC7 to see if it can protect the body from damage that often occurs after a person's heart is restarted. It will involve 20 adults who have recently survived a cardiac arrest. Researchers will check if GC7 reduces harmful stress and inflammation in the blood, which are major causes of complications after the heart is revived.
