First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a new device called E-celsius, which is a small pill you swallow that measures your body temperature as it travels through your digestive tract. The goal was to see if this pill gives accurate temperature readings compared to standard methods like probes in the esophagus or rectum. Twenty-two healthy adults took part, and researchers also checked how drinking cold liquids affected the readings.
