Can a common blood product tame deadly immune storms in sick kids?
NCT ID NCT04850456
Summary
This study is looking back at past medical records to see if a treatment called gamma globulin helps children with severe infections. These children have a dangerous overreaction of their immune system, called an inflammatory storm, which can lead to organ failure. Researchers will compare the outcomes of children who received gamma globulin to those who did not, to see if it helped control this reaction and improve survival.
