Can playing games on an app help people with dementia?
NCT ID NCT05422339
Summary
This study tested whether adding game-like features to a memory-assist app could help people with mild to moderate dementia stay more engaged with the technology. Researchers compared the app with and without these features over six months to see if the gamified version improved users' quality of life and reduced stress for their family caregivers. The goal was to see if making the app more fun to use could lead to better daily outcomes.
