Summary
This study tested a gamified assistive technology (MapHabit) in 40 people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's or related dementias and their primary caregivers. Over 6 months, one group used the gamified version while the control group used the standard app. The goal was to see if gamification increases user engagement and improves quality of life for the person with dementia, while also reducing caregiver burden.
