Gallbladder surgery timing trial: early or wait?
NCT ID NCT06113419
Summary
This study aims to find the safest time to remove the gallbladder after a severe bout of pancreatitis caused by gallstones. Researchers will compare performing the surgery early during the initial hospital stay versus waiting about 4 weeks after the patient recovers. The main goal is to see which timing results in fewer major complications and better overall outcomes for patients.
