Common surgery technique may trigger future gallbladder trouble

NCT ID NCT07452848

Summary

This study aims to find out if a common technique used to control bleeding during liver surgery increases the risk of developing gallbladder problems later. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 2,000 patients who had liver surgery with their gallbladder left in place. The goal is to help surgeons decide whether it's safer to remove a healthy gallbladder during liver surgery or leave it alone.
