Fuzzy stocking aims to speed recovery after amputation

NCT ID NCT06308562

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a special type of compression stocking, called a 'Fuzzy Wale' stockinet, can help people heal better after a below-the-knee amputation due to poor leg circulation. Researchers will compare it to the standard compression stocking to see if it reduces healing time, pain, infections, and hospital stays. The goal is to see if this new approach helps patients get fitted for a prosthetic leg sooner and at a lower overall cost.
