Scientists hunt for fungal clues in homes of lung disease patients
NCT ID NCT07313904
Summary
This study aims to understand how exposure to environmental fungi affects people with asthma, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), and bronchiectasis. Researchers will observe 125 participants, including healthy people, for 6 months. They will collect dust samples from homes, test participants' sputum and blood, and track symptoms to see if there's a link between fungi in the environment and lung disease flare-ups.
