First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called transcatheter arterial embolization for people with frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) that hasn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy or medication. The procedure uses tiny beads called 'Nexsphere-F' to block certain blood vessels in the shoulder, aiming to reduce pain. About 44 adults aged 19 to 85 with shoulder pain lasting over 3 months will take part. The main goal is to see if this approach safely eases pain and improves shoulder movement.
